　　作為一個資訊科學家，林崇偉老師多年來研究資訊科技與輔助科技創新應用，致力提高身心障礙者、高齡者和照顧者生活品質，日常便利以及社會參與。林老師除了協助多項教育部USR大學改革、科技部智慧生活、經濟部產業創新及勞動部就業培力計畫外，也是許多中央部會、地方政府和民間智庫的專家、長期陪伴地方社區、社福團體、返鄉青年推動產業和服務的創新。2014年林老師結合交通大學服務學習課程還有個人的科技研發成果創辦「众社會企業」，迄今已成為臺灣輔助科技、智慧城市、開放資料、服務設計領域知名廠商，榮獲超過121項國內外科技與社會創新大獎，每年並在會計師簽證下捐助支持身障、高齡與青年朋友所提出的科技應用、教育培力、產業創意、創新研發及社會倡議行動，持續推動臺灣高齡、平權和友善社會的發展。
